| I have noticed that signs for The coming election against Mayor Beale are missing..someone took down all the signs for his opponent and put the Mayor's signs up. Is that legal? What should we do if we see someone doing that? It makes me mad. |

I have noticed that Mayor Beale's signs are often being placed so they block the view of passerby so they cannot see Doughtie's signs. Everyone should look for that type of game playing...
Mayor Beale or his supporters are still not playing fair!
Should we expect anything different?
All the new candidates for the upcoming election are trying to be fair and optimistic but it is a tough road when they face dirty tricks and underhandedness...
Email me photo's or post photos of anyone you see messing with signs,
we can at least expose them if they are not playing fair...
Use your camera phone to catch the culprits. _________________ That's my opinion,

Apathy again Lemontrail, what happened to the speeches about honor integrity and character? You can't have it both ways, either you want character or you don't care about it... _________________ That's my opinion,

It's politics, Jim. It is what it is. Strategically placing signs during a campaign isn't about integrity. Stealing the signs of others is. _________________ "The right to be heard does not automatically include the right to be taken seriously."

There goes my BS meter again! You cannot confused right and wrong. (Wait a minute maybe you can...) It is the same as throwing the sign in the ditch, that is not stealing either, it is an attempt to prevent the intended audience from from seeing it.... a person with integrity would do neither. You win by playing fair and if you win by cheating you are still a loser! _________________ That's my opinion,

I would say that is vandalism, and I would agree that it is an attempt to prevent voters from viewing the signs.

Unless it is the candidates themselves doing this, or they have instructed someone to do this, then I don't have a problem with the candidates. I'm not going to act irresponsibly in accusing them of willfully or knowingly committing the act. If they are innocent of your accusations Jim, then your grievance is with those that are guilty, not the candidataes. How fair is it to accuse someone of something, whether directly or indirectly, when there is no evidence to support the accusations? Doesn't it just mar their reputation, potentially damaging them at the polls? Intentionally, knowingly, and with malice damaging someone's rep is no better than throwing someone's campaign sign in a ditch. As a matter of act, I'd say it is worse.
If you win by playing fair then you are the winner. If you win by cheating, you are still the winner. _________________ "The right to be heard does not automatically include the right to be taken seriously."
